Food-contact surfaces
Grill grates, oven racks, air fryer baskets and roasting tins can all be cleaned with GreaseKiller™, provided you rinse them with clean water afterwards and let them dry before cooking. This is the same rule that applies to any grill or oven cleaner on the market.
Do not spray it onto food, and do not spray a surface that is currently hot or in use.
Children and pets
- Keep pets and children out of the room while you are spraying and wiping.
- Store the bottle upright, capped and out of reach.
- Rinse and dry any surface a pet might lick — bowls, hob edges, floors around the grill.
- If swallowed, do not induce vomiting; rinse the mouth and seek medical advice.
Ventilation and protective gear
Open a window or run the extractor. That is genuinely enough for indoor use — the formula is not the eye-watering caustic experience of traditional oven cleaner. Gloves are still recommended if you have sensitive skin or you are cleaning for more than a few minutes, and eye contact should be avoided.
Surfaces to avoid
- Bare aluminium and anodised aluminium — alkaline cleaners can dull and stain it.
- Unsealed natural stone, marble and untreated wood.
- Painted or lacquered decorative finishes and vehicle paint.
- Any manufacturer-coated surface where the maker specifically prohibits alkaline cleaners.
- Always test a small hidden area first, and never apply to a hot surface.
