What buyers praise most
No scrubbing
Mentioned in 61% of reviews
The most repeated phrase on the whole wall. Buyers expect to scrub and are surprised that the wipe does the work once the foam has had two minutes.
Low smell, no fumes
Mentioned in 38% of reviews
People comparing it to caustic oven gels raise this constantly, especially flat and apartment owners cleaning with the windows shut.
Works cold
Mentioned in 22% of reviews
No pre-heating, no waiting for the grill to warm. Cold grates are the correct way to use it and reviewers like not planning around it.
Coverage per bottle
The most common criticism
One 50g bottle is roughly one full grill clean or two average ovens. Single-bottle buyers are the group most likely to say they wanted more.
What the critical reviews say
Needed a second coat
Accurate on genuinely neglected build-up. Anything past about a year of carbon usually takes two applications and a soft brush on the worst ridges.
Bottle is small
Also accurate. 50g is concentrated foam, not a bulk jug. Anyone cleaning a grill and a kitchen should start on the 3-pack.
Did not remove rust or stains
Correct, and by design. It breaks down carbonised fat. Rust, pitting and worn enamel discolouration are outside what any degreaser can fix.
Slow free shipping outside the US and UK
Free standard runs 7–12 business days internationally. If you need it for a specific weekend, take Priority + Insured.

Bought for the grill, use it everywhere
Grill grates were the reason. Since then it has done the oven door, the extractor, two baking trays and the garage bench. The 8-pack was the right call.

Ran a smoker clean-out with it
Cold smoker, sprayed the interior walls and racks, waited, wiped. Took the tar layer down to metal without the pressure washer. Used two bottles for the whole cabinet.

Air fryer drawer weekly, two minutes
I now spray the drawer while I eat and wipe it before bed. Never gets to the point of being a job. That is the actual value for me, not the deep clean.

Hood filters in the sink, done
Sprayed both filters, left them in the sink for five minutes, rinsed with hot water. Water ran brown for a while and then they were clean. That job normally eats an evening.

Deep fryer at the shop
I run a small takeaway. Used it on the fryer surround and the wall behind it. Faster than the commercial degreaser we buy in five litre jugs, and no gloves-and-goggles routine.

Kein Gestank — no fumes
I clean my oven with the window shut in winter and there was no throat burn at all. That alone is worth it compared to the caustic gels sold here.

Landlord inspection saved
Rental oven had two years of someone else's cooking baked on. Three coats over an evening and the inspection passed. Cost me less than the cleaning company quote by a long way.

The air fryer basket finally came clean
The mesh on my air fryer basket had a sticky brown coating that dish soap just smeared around. Light coat, three minutes, rinsed under the tap. No scrubbing brush needed and the coating is intact.

Bought two, should have bought five
Grill, oven, hob, hood, air fryer. Two bottles did not stretch across all of it. Reordered the 5-pack because the per-bottle price is much better and I know I will use them.

Cast iron grates without stripping seasoning
I was nervous about cast iron. Used it on the grease, not the whole pan, wiped and re-oiled straight after. Seasoning survived and the crusty edges are gone.

Two minutes is the real instruction
First try I wiped too early and thought it was overhyped. Second try I actually waited the full two minutes and it was a completely different product. Read the instructions, they matter.

Melted years of baked-on grease
Six seasons of carbon on a Weber and I had written the grates off. Sprayed, walked away for two minutes, wiped with a damp cloth and the black glaze came off in sheets. I did the whole grill on one bottle with some left for the side burner.

Stainless steel with no streaks
Fingerprint and oil film on the fridge and the hob surround came off and it did not leave the smeary residue that the stainless sprays leave. Buff with a dry cloth after and it is clean.

Workshop bench and tools
Bought it for the kitchen, ended up using it on the workbench and a set of oily spanners. Cut the film in one pass. Not what it is sold for but it handles machine oil fine.

Good, but plan for two coats on old build-up
Works exactly as described on anything up to about a year of grease. My firebox had a decade in it and needed two coats plus a soft brush. Still better than the wire wheel I was using, just do not expect one pass on a neglected grill.

Microwave and backsplash
The splatter dome inside the microwave and the tile behind the cooker both wiped clean with one pass. I keep a bottle under the sink now instead of the spray I used to buy.

Great on the hob, mediocre on the burner caps
The glass hob is spotless. The cast burner caps needed two rounds and a toothbrush in the ridges. Four stars because the ridges are still a manual job.

No more scrubbing the oven
I have used every oven cleaner sold in the UK and hated the fumes from all of them. This one has a mild smell, no coughing, and the brown film on the door glass wiped away with kitchen roll. Racks took a second coat, which is fair.

Excellent on enamel, careful near seals
The enamel inside my oven cleaned up beautifully. I did get some on the door seal and wiped it off quickly as the instructions say. Would have liked that warning printed bigger on the bottle.

Carbon buildup vanished
Grease and carbon came off the grates, the oven and the range hood filter in one afternoon. The hood filter was the surprise — I usually boil those in soda crystals and it never fully works.

Arrived leaking
One of the three bottles had leaked in transit and the box was damp. Support replaced it within a day of me emailing, no argument, so I am not taking more than a star off. Product itself is very good.

Thanks for the patience, Paul. That was a cap seating fault on one production batch. Anything that arrives damaged gets replaced on the first email, no photos required.

Bottle is smaller than I pictured
The product works, no complaints there. But 50g is a small bottle and I got through it in one grill and one oven. Order more than you think you need — I wish I had taken the 3-pack the first time.
Curtis M. · Calgary, CA · Verified buyer
Ordered the 1 bottle
GreaseKiller™ support replied
Fair feedback, Curtis. One bottle covers roughly one full grill clean or two average ovens, which is why the 3-pack is the one most people end up on. We now say this on the product page and in the order confirmation.

Best kitchen purchase this year
Baked-on grime did not stand a chance. Faster than anything I have used and it does not stink out the kitchen, which matters in a flat. Shipping to Germany took nine days, which was as promised.

Delivery was slow but the product delivered
Took eleven days to reach Ireland on the free shipping and I was starting to wonder. Product itself is genuinely good — stovetop and oven door both clean. Would pay for the faster option next time.
Ellen T. · Dublin, IE · Verified buyer

GreaseKiller™ support replied
Sorry about the wait, Ellen. Free standard shipping runs 7–12 business days outside the US and UK and eleven days is at the slow end of that. Priority + Insured is roughly half that time and fully tracked.

Fine, not magic
It does what it says on normal kitchen grease. The marketing photos set a high bar and my twenty-year-old oven did not come out looking new. Cleaner than it was, yes. New, no.
Hannah B. · Glasgow, UK · Verified buyer
Ordered the 2-pack
GreaseKiller™ support replied
That is a reasonable read, Hannah. On enamel that is worn or already stained the grease comes off but the discolouration underneath stays. The guarantee stands if you would rather have your money back.

Works every single time
Used it all month on splatter around the hob and the back of the cooker. It lifts sticky residue without me leaning on it. My hands used to ache after cleaning day and now they do not.

Careful on painted surfaces
It lifted a bit of the paint on an old painted cabinet door where I had been heavy-handed. The label does warn about painted surfaces. My fault, but I would test first.
Dan O. · Cardiff, UK · Verified buyer

GreaseKiller™ support replied
Correct warning to pass on, Dan. Painted, unsealed wood and bare aluminium are the three surfaces to avoid. Always test on a hidden patch first.

Did not fix my rusted grates
To be clear it removed the grease. What it cannot do is bring back grates that have rusted through underneath, which is what mine had done. That is on me for hoping, but worth saying for anyone in the same spot.
Bill A. · Tampa, FL · Verified buyer
Ordered the 1 bottle
GreaseKiller™ support replied
Honest and accurate, Bill. GreaseKiller breaks down carbonised fat and oil. It has no effect on rust or pitted metal, and we would rather say so than take a return over it.

Saved my 6-year-old gas grill
I was pricing new grills. Two sprays, five minutes with a cloth, and the grates look close to factory. Cheapest grill upgrade I have ever bought.

Did nothing for me
Sprayed it on a grill pan with what I now realise was a burnt sugar marinade, not grease. It made no difference. Emailed for the refund and got it in two days, so the guarantee is real at least.
Trevor J. · Birmingham, UK · Verified buyer
Ordered the 1 bottle
GreaseKiller™ support replied
Refunded and no hard feelings, Trevor. Carbonised sugar is a different chemistry to fat — an alkaline degreaser will not touch it. Soaking in hot water is the better route there and we should say that more clearly.
What reviewers are describing
The same three jobs come up again and again in the review wall: grates, oven door glass and the hob. These are the results the reviews above are talking about.

Is GreaseKiller™ Spray worth it?
The honest version: it is worth it if your problem is carbonised fat, and it is not worth it if your problem is rust, worn enamel or burnt sugar. That single sentence explains almost every rating on this page. The five-star reviews are people with a greasy grill, a filmed-over oven door, sticky hood filters or an air fryer basket that has gone brown. The three-star reviews are almost always people who bought it hoping it would fix something that no degreaser fixes.
At the 3-pack price the spray works out around $13 a bottle, and one bottle handles a full grill clean or two average ovens. Compared to a professional oven clean, a replacement set of grates, or an afternoon with a wire brush and a caustic gel, the reviewers who do that arithmetic land in the same place — it pays for itself on the first serious job.
What the 3-star reviews are actually saying
Read them closely and there is a pattern. Not one of them says the foam failed to lift grease. They say the grease came off and something else stayed: rust on grates that had already corroded, staining on twenty-year-old enamel, paint that lifted from a cabinet door that should never have been sprayed, or a delivery that took eleven days on free international shipping. Those are real limitations and we would rather you know them before you order than discover them after.
The one two-star review on this page is a customer who sprayed burnt-on marinade — caramelised sugar, not fat. An alkaline degreaser has nothing to grab there. He was refunded in two days, and we left the review up because it is the clearest possible description of when not to buy this product.
Who it suits, who should skip it
Buy it if
- Your grill grates have a black glaze you cannot brush off
- Your oven door glass has gone brown and hazy
- Your hood filters are tacky and dish soap slides off them
- You want a non-caustic option you can use indoors without fumes
- You would rather wipe once than scrub for an hour
Skip it if
- The metal is rusted or pitted rather than greasy
- The stain is caramelised sugar or a burnt marinade
- The surface is painted, bare aluminium or unsealed wood
- You expect a twenty-year-old oven to look new again
- You need it this week and will not pay for tracked shipping
How reviewers compare it to the alternatives
| Method | What reviewers report | Effort |
|---|---|---|
| GreaseKiller™ foam | Grease lifts after a two-minute dwell; second coat on neglected build-up | Spray, wait, wipe |
| Baking soda paste | Works on light film, stalls on hardened carbon, leaves gritty residue | Overnight + scrubbing |
| Caustic oven gel | Effective but fumes, gloves, and reviewers avoid it indoors | Ventilate + long dwell |
| Pressure washing | Blasts loose debris, smears the baked layer, needs outdoor space | Setup + cleanup |

The pack most of them chose
One for the grill, one for the kitchen, one spare — $13 each instead of $19, and the reason the most common complaint on this page (running out) rarely comes from 3-pack buyers.

Frequently asked questions
Are these GreaseKiller™ Spray reviews real?+
Every review published here comes from a customer who ordered GreaseKiller™ through this store and was emailed after delivery. We do not buy reviews, we do not run incentivised review campaigns, and we do not publish reviews from people who never received the product.
Do you delete negative reviews?+
No. Two-star and three-star reviews stay on this page permanently and are shown in the same size card as five-star ones. Where a complaint has a useful answer, we publish our reply underneath it rather than removing the review.
Why are most reviews five stars?+
The published star breakdown mirrors the full ratings set: 84% five star, 11% four star, and 5% at three stars or below. That distribution is normal for a single-use cleaning product where the result is visible within minutes, but it is why we deliberately surface the critical reviews near the top of the filter.
What do the negative reviews usually say?+
Three things: heavily neglected build-up needs a second coat, one 50g bottle does not stretch across a whole grill plus a whole kitchen, and it does not remove rust or already-stained enamel. All three are fair, and all three are answered on this page.
What happens if it does not work for me?+
Email support@greasekillerspray.com within 90 days of delivery and we refund or replace the order. No photos, no restocking fee, no return shipping to pay. The two-star review on this page was refunded in two days.
How many bottles do most reviewers recommend?+
The 3-pack is what the majority of repeat buyers land on: one for the grill, one for the kitchen, one spare. Reviewers cleaning a grill, oven, hob, hood and air fryer in the same season generally say the 5-pack was the better call.
90-day results-or-refund guarantee
Use GreaseKiller™ on your dirtiest grill, oven or hob. If it doesn't lift the grease you expected, email us within 90 days of delivery and we'll refund you in full — no photos, no restocking fee, no argument.
